TREE NURSERY ESTABLISHMENT & SCHOOL PROJECT
This project involves establishment and management of a tree nursery for WWANC and supporting grassroots women to establish and manage tree nurseries at individual, group and community level.
It also focuses on training school children on establishment and management of tree nurseries, importance of tree planting and climate change mitigation measures.
The project is also a source of revenue to WWANC through selling of tree seedlings raised in the Organization’s tree nursery.
Since its establishment, the project has managed to raise 60,000 indigenous tree seedlings and sold 57,000 to organizations, institutions and individuals.
