The project, SOIL PROTECTION AND REHABILITATION OF DEGRADED SOIL IN WESTERN KENYA (Pro-Soil), seeks to promote soil and water conservation by rehabilitating degraded lands, improving water quality, and contributing to climate protection. Funded by GIZ, the project is being implemented by WWANC in collaboration with key stakeholders including the Water Resources Authority (WRA) through Water Resource User Associations (WRUAs), the National and County Government administrators, political and religious leaders, representatives from learning institutions, and the Kenya Forest Service.
The project is being implemented in six (6) Sub-Catchment areas namely; Firatsi, Middle River Yala and Kisama (Kakamega County), Siga and Upper Kawaya (Siaya County) and Khalaba (Bungoma County).

A women led organization in Kenya working across the counties of Kenya in changing the lives of women. WWANC was started in 2011 to bring change in the society by empowering women socially, economically and politically while mitigating effects of climate change.
