Women in Water and Natural Resources Conservation (WWANC) is a pioneering women-led organization based in Kenya, dedicated to advancing gender equality, sustainable development, and climate resilience. Founded in 2011 by two visionary leaders, WWANC strives to empower women socially, economically, and politically while actively mitigating the impacts of climate change.
Our mission at WWANC is centered on promoting and safeguarding the rights of women and girls through their meaningful inclusion and participation in community development initiatives. Our overarching goal is to create equitable access to social and economic opportunities, thereby fostering empowerment for women and children alike.
At the heart of WWANC's efforts lies the belief that empowering women catalyzes broader societal progress. By ensuring women's full participation and positive impact in development processes, WWANC aims to drive sustainable change that benefits entire communities.
Through our work, WWANC remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that women are integral to and benefit equitably from all aspects of development. Our motivation stems from the conviction that empowering women not only elevates their status but also enriches the social fabric and resilience of society as a whole.
